Storytelling and the Quartet Narrative

Our 27th season, titled Storytelling and the Quartet Narrative, will present programs in historic context further developing the educational component of our mission. The programs will discover musical gems of the String Quartet genre from the eras of Baroque to Classical, from Romantic to 20th Century and contemporary. Patrons will be able to hear the music of Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert and Johannes Brahms, as well as Alfred Schnittke, Karol Szymanowski and Arvo Pärt.

We are happy to present to you this season's distinguished artists.

Collin McAllister, internationally renowned guitarist and recording artist, will join us in Guitar Quintet No. 4, in D Major, "Fandango" by L. Boccherini.

Grammy nominated pianist, Susan Grace will lead in Elgar's Piano Quintet Op. 84, in A Minor.

And lastly, Principal Clarinetist of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic Sergei Vassiliev will shine in the timeless Clarinet Quintet Op. 115, in B Minor by J. Brahms.

All of our programs will be accompanied by pre-concert lectures by Mark Arnest, which will begin at 6:45 pm in Pueblo and at 1:15 pm in Colorado Springs.
